Cry Until We Laugh is ELAURA’s debut EP- a bilingual body of work exploring heartbreak, healing, self-worth, and community through soulful vocals, spoken word, live instrumentation, and electronic production.

Created across a period of deep inner turmoil, the EP moves from songs written in grief and heartbreak to songs born from joy, connection, and collaboration. It tells the story of breaking the spell of toxic love, reclaiming personal power, and discovering that the love and validation being searched for in others had existed within and around her all along.

Drawing from her Chilean heritage and upbringing in the Dandenong Ranges, ELAURA weaves English and Spanish throughout the project, grounding each song in emotional honesty, cultural memory, and storytelling. Featuring 18 creatives from around Naarm/Melbourne, Cry Until We Laugh reflects the belief that on the other side of pain and fear, is love and peace.

Originally created as part of ELAURA’s own healing journey, the project is now an offering to listeners- something to cry to, laugh to, scream in the car to, share with a friend who understands, have a cup of tea and a reflective moment with, or soundtrack a hot girl walk with. ELAURA hopes Cry Until We Laugh feels like a dear friend by your side with a hand outreached, reminding you that even in life’s hardest moments, the strength to move through them has always existed within you- and in the people who hold you so lovingly along the way.
