I grow tired of almost everything easily. This work expresses the wrinkled waves scattered by a desperate struggle to live, driven only by the desire to leave behind traces and memories.
Whether it came from my own true self or not, it was the last struggle through which I could still remain aware. I was barely breathing.
The boundaries of the world are finite, but the paths I could take were so infinite that even a lifetime would not be enough to fill them. Yet the days I spent thinking about the moment I would return to dust were never meaningless.
The gentle sensation of air brushing against my skin became the force that awakened a sleeping mind. The countless ideas born from that awakening were engraved into every strand of my hair, like leaves hanging from the branches of a tree.
I could not help but find meaning in everything.
It is a familiar story. The ending will probably not matter.
Desperate expressions always shake the eyes. They may exist to help us understand through imagination, or they may appear when we confront the countless experiences that have accumulated within our minds, even without understanding any particular language.
Thoughts shape people and leave memories behind.
Even the act of breathing may not be something we should take for granted. A heart beating vividly like a fish struggling to stay alive, streams of hot tears running down a face, hormones drawn toward another person, and the warmth of blood flowing through the body, none of these alone can determine whether someone is truly alive.
What matters is that, even if an experience was never real, a person can still feel alive if they are governed by memory.
Memory is emotion, and emotion is proof of life.
That is why I want to become someone who is remembered, in whatever form that may be.
